Sharing a corner with the famous Kingston Lounge, the restaurant’s muted, taupe detailing complements the foundational walls of an archetypal Brooklyn brownstone.
Chef Reem Look
A Modern Cuisine
Chef Reem Look brings classical training and modern creativity to Meat from Jerusalem, Israel. There, he served as executive chef at the Herbert Samuel Hotel, before moving to Isrotel’s renowned Orient Jerusalem.
Chef Reem’s previous experience includes positions with the acclaimed La Regence and King’s Garden restaurants, both at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, as well as Prague’s King David Hotel, where he worked under Chef Daniel Levy.
Meat has created a menu to both dazzle and satisfy. Seamlessly combining Mediterranean taste with contemporary technique, Meat offers a la carte and prix fixe options. The a la carte menu appetizer highlights include sambusak (Middle Eastern samosa), veal raviolo, and duck croquettes. Jerusalem artichoke cream lamb chops, duck breast with blueberry sauce, and Chef Reem’s award-winning Osso Bucco make up some of the a la carte entree options. Of course, our name is well earned with a nightly selection of dry-aged and wet-aged steaks.
Meat’s prix fixe menu, fittingly titled Feast, is as much an experience as it is a meal. Founded in the artistic practice of the culinary, our dynamic Feast takes the patron on an exciting, and sometimes adventurous, edible journey. Regardless of your menu choices, our accomplished team prepares every meal with care and diligence. Utilizing state-of-the-art cookware, such as our josper grill and aging rooms, and the highest quality ingredients, our team constructs flavor and builds texture in every dish. While firmly rooted in classic Mediterranean flavors, Meat’s menus are continuously advancing into new, exciting culinary territory.
